Following the UFC 329 event, BetOnline declined Conor McGregor’s request to void wagers placed on his bout against Max Holloway. The bookmaker confirmed all bets were settled according to the official fight result.
Bookmaker Settlement Decision
After his defeat at the event, McGregor called for the match to be ruled a no-contest due to injuries sustained during the fight. He urged betting operators to return funds to customers who backed his performance.
BetOnline representative Dave Mason stated the company processed all settlements correctly because Holloway secured the official victory. Mason noted that physical damage is an inherent part of mixed martial arts and fighters who are not prepared should not enter the cage.
The operator added that canceling payouts would disadvantage customers who wagered on Holloway and already received their winnings. Mason remarked that "If Conor cares so much about his fans, he can refund them the $30 million he earned from this fight himself."
