Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has completed a CA$50 million renovation project at Cascades Casino London in Ontario. The 27-month construction phase has expanded the facility from 70,000 to 84,000 square feet.
The updated venue features a newly added Proline+ sportsbook lounge, marking the first of its kind in the province. Dining options now include the Match Eatery & Public House with an outdoor patio and the Chow Lucky Noodle Bar. The gaming floor accommodates 891 slot machines and 18 table games.
Management and Community Impact
Darcy Romanin, general manager of Cascades Casino London, stated that the investments reflect a commitment to community gathering spaces. Dave Pridmore, chief gaming officer at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, noted that the expansion supports local job creation. Since 1999, the OLG has contributed over CA$107 million to London as a host gaming community.
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment operates additional properties in Ontario and British Columbia. Recent market data indicates that total online gaming wagers in Ontario reached CA$9.5 billion in May, representing a 2 percent increase from April. Non-adjusted gross gaming revenue for the period totaled CA$413.1 million.
