Banijay Gaming has announced the acquisition of JOA, the second-largest casino operator in France. The transaction is scheduled to be finalized later this year.
The French operator manages a network of 33 casinos located across all regions of the country. JOA reported an annual gross revenue of €430m for the 2025 fiscal year. This acquisition expands Banijay Gaming’s portfolio by integrating a large number of physical gambling venues.
Strategic Expansion and Leadership
The deal supports Banijay Gaming’s international growth strategy. Earlier this year, the company completed the acquisition of Tipico Group and Admiral to strengthen its online and sports betting operations. Banijay Gaming stated that the JOA transaction will accelerate its development phase in France and other international markets.
Nicolas Béraud, chairman of Banijay Gaming, noted that customers expect seamless experiences across digital and physical environments. He added that Banijay Gaming intends to support JOA’s development through expertise in technology, artificial intelligence, and data. Laurent Lassiaz, chairman of JOA, described the partnership as a new chapter following the company’s time with Blackstone and Kings Park Capital.
Lassiaz emphasized that Banijay Gaming’s digital innovation will aid omnichannel development while preserving the company’s entrepreneurial culture.
